Stars and wishes

I have never had a positive experience with math I have always struggled. This is due to the fact that I have a learning disability. The math problems with multiple steps have always confused me. It takes me longer than other students to process and understand the math concept. I think my stars in math are basic math equation I will do pretty well on. My wishes are to become better at word problems and multiple step equations. Another wish is that this class teaches me new strategies on how to solve problems. I wish to be the best math teacher I can be and learn from my struggles.

I thought this one a good book I thought that it was a good demonstration of a different type of lifestyle. It kept me interested the whole time because I kept wondering what was going to happen to these different characters. I was not used to reading this type of a book it was a different reading experience, but I am open to reading all different kinds of genres. I enjoyed by the end of this book that Jonas realized he did not have to be stuck in this type of society. It was when he became the receiver of memories that he realized that there was such a thing as color and feelings and wondered why not everyone had them.

Part 3

I like the plot of this story because it was interesting to find out the job that Jonas was going to receive. When he had be given the job of the receiver, he at first did not realize at first how powerful this job was in till over time. The setting of this book was an isolated community that was very different than most people were given their job and they had strict rules that they had to go by. The theme of this book was about memories and about how after Jonas received the memory, he was then made aware of things such as color, feelings, sledding and what a sunburn was. The point of view was told by Jonas.

This was an interesting book to me. This was the first time I had ever read a graphic novel and was confused how to read the panels at first then I figured it out.
